It was hard to believe that the Brotherhood of Steel, an organization I had grown to trust and admire, would engage in such practices. As I looked around at my fellow brothers and sisters, I saw only nods of understanding and acceptance on their faces. No one seemed bothered by this revelation. In fact, it seemed as if they were all just accepting it as part of the way things worked. ![]() I couldn't help but feel a pang of disillusionment. All this time, I had been so caught up in the sense of purpose and belonging that came with being a member of the Brotherhood. But now, I was beginning to wonder what other secrets lay hidden beneath the surface. The power armor I wore felt heavier than usual, as if the weight of my doubts was settling onto my shoulders. As I left the quartermaster's office, I couldn't help but think about the words of Knight Donahue from his log entry: "In a world without industries, everything is valuable... and everyone's caps support the cause." It seemed that even in an organization dedicated to preserving humanity, there were still those who saw others as nothing more than means to an end. ![]()
